VI. Sex Offenders
Triggers:
Sex offenders can be especially
manipulative in risky situations. These tend to be when the offender
is in possession of a dangerous weapon, has contact with under-aged
children, uses illegal substances, poses a physical threat to
others/animals. Child sex offenders, for example, should avoid
being near schools, playgrounds, or any other area where children
gather. Sex offenders often plan their actions so there may be
no noticeable triggers for staff to identify, however staff should
be aware of any changes in offenders' behavior and take those
changes as a warning.
