VII. Disassociated Offenders
Assessment Issues:
Some assessment tools
can measure relationships between offenders and their communities,
families or friends. If, during an interview, staff notices an
absence of these important relationships, the offender is likely
disassociated. Another good indicator is a home visit, which may
reveal that an offender lives alone and has no apparent ties or
relationships with other people. An offender also may stick firmly
to a daily routine of work and home with no time for or interest
in social activities.
