Controls:
The purpose of this role-play is
to familiarize staff with internal and external controls in
their own life. Separate the group into teams of two. The first
person should talk about (or make up) a personal change that
they want to make (and that they are comfortable discussing).
The second person should play the interviewer and the first
is the interviewee. The interviewer should ask questions about
the issue (e.g., How have you gone about changing this behavior?
What obstacles have you faced in changing? Why do you keep trying
to change this behavior, why is it important to you?). Give
the group 5-10 minutes to discuss the issue and then have them
switch roles and repeat the discussion. Report what they learned
about themselves and their colleagues.
